I am reluctant to theorize more without some sort of list  reaction
to build on, but it seems to me that JKR has laid the map very well
 for something big to happen in Ottery-St.Catchpole.

Ok non-romantically now, I've just jumped on the Harry/Luna ship of
 late. Yes, I believe you're right. In GoF some of the Fawcett's are
mentioned during the Yule Ball chapters. The fact that 3/4 of the
 families right now are anti-voldemort (Fawcetts yet to be known,
Lovegood's nominally anti-voldie, but definately not pro-voldie) it
would make a good target for a Death Eater strike. It's true that
 we've heard the name many times and still have only seen the Burrow.
Until this post I didn't even remember that the Diggorys/Lovegoods/Fawcetts
lived there as well.

So there we have realtion to Weasels (the Weasleys); badgers, ie
Hufflepuffs, ie Cedric; ferrets ie Malfoy the amazing bouncing
ferret; Lutra (sounds a little like Luna); otters ie Hermione... of
course all that is speculation...

Anyone else find these connections interesting?

I'm finding this very interesting. Is there any chance that 'Fawcett' is
related to 'Fawkes'? I dont know much about the structure of language and
would love to hear an opinion more informed than mine!
