I was more bothered by Harry telling Hedwig to keep pecking Ron and 
Hermione until he got answers from them in OotP.  What bothered me 
thre most was when he thought he was not at all sorry when he saw 
their pecked up hands.  

We don't get internal dialog from Ron and Hermione, and I'm sure it's 
a good thing.  I think we'd like them less if we did.  Harry comes of 
as quite likable, considering we hear his thoughts.  I wouldn't want 
anyone to hear my thoughts.
