Only in the movie.  In the book Hermione is with Harry when 
the dementors attack.  "At the same moment, Harry felt Hermione 
collapse next to him.  He was alone...completely alone"

Buckbeak never chases off the werewolf.  Sirius transforms 
into dog form and he and the werewolf fight briefly.  Then 
the werewolf goes "galloping into the forest".  Lupin himself 
says, "And after last night, I see their point.  I could 
have bitten any of you."
