It is interesting that the Potters' house is called Godric's Hollow
when Dumbledore mentions that LV wanted something from each founding
father as a Horcrux. I know DD says that the only remaining item of
GG's was the sword but I seem to recall the sorting hat proclaiming
to the entire school that it was whipped off GG's head, therefore
surely belonging to him. If he can overlook the SH then surely he
may have overlooked some relic at Godric's Hollow. Possibly even
Harry being a descendent of GG(?)

Dumbledore says that LV dropped heavily into the dark arts and
reemerged unrecognisable known as LV instead of TR, this suggests to
me that his snakelike appearance was in effect at the beginning of
his reign of terror. Also there is nothing to suggest that Nagini was
not made a Horcrux before entering Godric's Hollow.
