But this was *perfect* -- conjuring up the image of your friend
fishing in the slushpile for something with a little glimmer of
inspiration that might lead to great things -- I loved it!
Returning to topic...I think it's telling and intentional that Harry
can't get snatch a letter out of the air but is able to grab
Neville's falling Remembrall once he's on a broom. The first time he
rides a broom is the first time he really feels like a wizard, IMO,
able to do anything, and he'll later remember it as one of the
happiest moments of his life.
